Giolitti

Giolitti is an ancient, famous cafe, pastry shop and ice cream parlor in Rome, Italy. It was established in 1890 by Giuseppe and Bernardina Giolitti and works at two locations: via Uffici del Vicario near the Pantheon and in Esposizione Universale Roma. It is still owned by the same family.

The cafe is most popular for its delicious ice cream, which comes in dozens of diverse flavors elaborated according to secret recipes. The special flavors comprehend champagne, cassata siciliana, ricotta, marsala custard and rice.

The Giolitti family doesn't want to sell its brand and recipes to large dairy companies. In spite of the many offers. The cafe is famous with both tourists and locals and is listed in many guide books.
